Take a ride down Palm Canyon Drive any day of the week and you’ll spot an energetic crowd spilling out of Lulu California Bistro with its bilevel dining rooms, dramatic circular bar, and colorful outdoor patio. It’s been that way since legendary valley restaurateurs Jerry Keller and his late wife Barbara first opened the vibrant eatery in 2011. “There’s always a party at Lulu,” Jerry says.
In 2017, Acqua reopened at The River in Rancho Mirage. Jerry says, “Our customers asked us to come back, and we have.”
Both restaurants feature large specialevent spaces with Lulu’s extensive mezzanine and Acqua’s stunning River Room — private dining rooms that can accommodate up to 150 people for a seated dinner. The River Room’s sliding glass doors open to beautiful mountain views and overlook The River’s dramatic water feature.
Lulu and Acqua offer guests amazing three-course weekend brunch and all day dining menus with award-winning California cuisine, including steak, seafood, pizzas, paninis, and American Kobe burgers, along with decadent housemade desserts. Acqua offers a super sharables menu of 30 dishes made for sharing indoors or on its beautiful outdoor Pazza Terrace. At Lulu, the fun vibe, fabulous food, cool cocktails, and Instagrammable atmosphere make it a popular spot with bachelorette parties who’ve dubbed the spot #BacheloretteCentral.
Lulu and Acqua can take the party to you thanks to Lulu Catering & Events, the catering company of choice in the area, which caters events of all sizes from intimate private dinners and spectacular weddings to some of the biggest affairs in the valley, including annual galas for the Palm Springs Air Museum and the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians’ Dinner in the Canyons.
