Residency: He completed a three-year residency in Prosthodontics at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland ,in 2000 and graduated as the top resident among all specialties. He completed a one-year fellowship in maxillofacial Prosthetics treating challenging head and neck cancer and trauma patients.
Board Certified: Diplomate with the American College of Prosthodontists
Special Interests: Dr. Alfano enjoys treating complex dental implant patients and problem-solving when others have failed. He routinely lectures on implant dentistry, prosthodontics and maxillofacial prosthetics and has published multiple journal articles. He was a professor at Temple University Dental School while, also practicing prosthodontics in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, prior to returning to Southern California.

Additional Information: Dr. Alfano enjoys spending time with his wife and three children at the beach or on a hiking trail. He loves distance running and has completed multiple half marathons over the years, but he is usually found cheering on his children at their water polo games.
