Miguel Edwards began his art career as a photographer in Seattle. Originally from New Mexico, he captured the ’90s grunge music scene for KEXP radio and Billboard magazine, explored the Seattle art scene for City Arts magazine, and delved into a variety of projects in photography and film.

The spark for Miguel’s work as a sculptor in steel and glass came in 2004, when he was commissioned to create a steel sphere for Burning Man. By 2009, that spark had grown to a fire that would shift the course of his career. Now the two art forms, photography and sculpture, interplay in his work. Microsoft, Boeing, and other Fortune 500 companies have commissioned his work.

In addition to many private collectors, Miguel’s public installations include “Hope Rising,” a cauldron of fire for the 50th anniversary of the Special Olympics; “Relativity Clock,” an interactive sculpture in Redmond; and “El Sole: Elevate,” a sphere rising 20 feet in downtown Seattle.

CODA Gallery is excited to represent Miguel Edwards and his dynamic sculpture. Visit the gallery or go to codagallery.com for details.
